The short version
How I got here.
I started as a cinematographer. I became a producer because someone had to protect the shoot. I became a systems builder because someone had to protect the team.
Born and raised in California, I studied video production at The Art Institute of Dallas, graduating with Best Portfolio, then earned a B.A. in Digital Filmmaking from The Los Angeles Film School, Magna Cum Laude. My early credits were a crash course in range: producing branded work for PepsiCo, Frito-Lay, and Zales Jewelry, then landing on set as a production assistant for HGTV and other notable brands and shows in the same year.
In 2018 I founded Kharece Productions LLC and spent the next stretch of my career wearing every hat a set has: PA, gaffer, camera assistant, cinematographer, editor, colorist, writer, producer, director. That range is the reason I can scope a production accurately, spot the risk in a timeline before it becomes a fire, and speak fluently to any vendor in the chain.
What changed everything was moving into corporate. Across high-volume digital media, DTC performance creative, and enterprise B2B, I learned that the hardest problem in video isn’t craft. It’s throughput. Most creative teams aren’t underperforming; they’re under-supported by process. That realization is the spine of everything I’ve built since, including an enterprise customer stories program across the US, UK, and Canada that grew content output by 150%.
StoryOps AI is that realization turned into a service: the systems I wish every talented team had.
